Other than that it was a beautiful little place in the middle of nature. Better to be safe than sorry in that regard. Loved, loved, loved Lynne's place. All in all, great place to stay if you want to get away from reality for a bit. I am at feet elevation and I did just acquire a monster swamp cooler. The views are amazing. A few things to note - if you're traveling in the winter months, be sure to bring extra blankets with you, as none are provided.
I have my own well and the entire yurt if filtered with an additional reverse osmosis for drinking. The kitchen is really well-equipped so great for cooking, and all of the linens and towels are great quality. My only suggestion for potential visitors--if you visit in the winter. It made sitting on the back porch where the most beautiful view is a bit awkward. There is a dog that lives on the property. We drove home through the snow without chains on and it was scary. There are 2 single chairs in the yurt. Be sure to have Lynne drive you in on her ATV! Come and escape the summer heat! The place is in an absolutely gorgeous location, surrounded by nature. What I love about my neighborhood is that I have no neighbors, other then the four-legged creatures who inhabit the area. Remote, beautiful, thoughtfully built and designed. People come here to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays and to get an experience of what it is like to live sustainably in nature, completely off the grid, but with luxuries. The evenings and mornings on the porch are amazing in the summer. All in all, great place to stay if you want to get away from reality for a bit. It was also really cozy to sit by the wood stove and enjoy the peace and quiet. The road to get there is a bit rough - there were times I wasn't sure that my little hybrid would make it, but it did! You will get an experience of what it is like to live off the grid and how to utilize solar power and batteries wisely. We loved sitting outside on the deck listening to the wind chimes and the birds and gazing into the pine forest. Another thing is that we would have loved to have sit on a couch since it was just me and my husband and we were spending a weekend away. There's nothing to complain about. She'll pick you up and you can leave your car in a safe place on the paved roads. There are opportunities to learn about gray water, composting, gardening, herb spirals, and basic homesteading. The design is fabulous.
